Why we chose this book

We published this book--Yaakov's newest. Yaakov is an American born dietitian who moved with his wife many decades ago to Jerusalem. We met in 1992 at the International Dietetics Congress in Jerusalem and have been friends ever since. I'm Methodist, but I had my internship at Beth Israel Hospital in Boston and since that time, I have been interested in Jewish foods and traditions. The history of the Jewish food guidelines is fascinating and the fact that so many still follow them this many centuries later attests to the strength of the faith.
