Why we chose this book

Dietitians need to be aware of their food roots. Americans have a rich history of interesting native fish, animals, and food crops that supported the native populations and early settlers. Some food species have only recently dwindled in numbers and become endangered. This book is well researched and written for those of us who love stories and history.
